League Operation:
  • Arranging matches - The home team captain will contact the opposing captain/deputy at lease 5 days prior to the proposed match date. Two dates must be offered, the second may be presented following the rejection of the first. Only Monday to Friday may be offered. The opposition must accept or reject the offered date by the end of the following day.
  • Arranging team knockouts follows exactly the same rules as arranging matches above. The team listed first becomes the Home Team.
  • A player is not allowed to swap or play for other teams during a season.
  • At least 4 team players are expected to arrive at the venue by 6.30pm, 7.00pm latest. Failure to do so can result in the opposition claiming the match. The 2 remaining players must arrive by the time their games are due to be played or those games can be claimed.
  • 2 substitute players can be used in the Doubles, but they must be declared before the match commences.
  • Scores must be emailed by the winning team captain to the appropriate division director (copied to the other captain) by the end of the following week or a zero score will be entered.
  • All matches must be played during the week they are scheduled. Failure to do so will result in the team that is at fault receiving zero points and the opposition receiving 2 points. Failure to report will deem the home team as at fault. The committee's ruling is final.
  • To qualify for the league averages trophies, at least 75% of the games must have been played.
  • In a situation where two teams have scored the same number of points at the end of the season, the winner will be decided primarily on matches won and secondly on the total number of games won.
  • All players must be registered BEFORE they play in any matches or the points won, in their singles or doubles matches, may be awarded to the opposing team.
  • The home team will pay for the 15 games that will be played (6 singles, swap every alternate player in the away team and another 6 singles followed by 3 doubles), and provide refreshments (snacks/sandwiches). Home team will write their singles and doubles players first. Doubles players need only be written following the completion of the singles matches.
